"This is what it looks like when you wake up and realize your having a baby today."
I didn't look nearly as excited because I was so nervous! Brynn arrived on Wednesday night and stayed with the girls while Greg and I went to the hospital. The one thing I forgot in my hospital bag was a sweater! Everyone knows that the cardnial rule of hospitals (and movie theaters) is that you need a sweater. (Brynn brought me one later.)
Our C-section was scheduled for 9:30 and you need two bags of "fluids" and an antibiotic before surgery so we were at the hospital at 7:30am to start the process. Our nurse was Jean and she was so kind and very experienced. I was feeling nervous so I distracted myself by talking with her about her travels.
Nurses are angles.
Greg and I ready for surgery.
Before going into surgery Dr. Leonard came by and we visited for a bit. He asked Greg if Greg would like to announce the gender to me. Greg and I took last guesses about what gender it would be and I'm pretty sure it was a unanimous guess of boy!
In the operating room I got to see most of the preparations this time. I won't go into details but it made me even more nervous! We had the same anesthesiologist this time as with Ruby. He was a nice guy. He told me stories to distract me. I'm pretty sure he told me the same stories when I had Ruby. :)
It felt like a REALLY long time until the baby was born! It was the longest 29 minutes of my life. I kept asking Greg "Can you see the baby yet?" and he kept saying "no" or "not yet". Then....
Greg to me "It's a girl! And she has teeth!"
I said "seriously?!?!"
Greg: "No, she doesn't have teeth, but it is a girl."
I didn't know it but she was breech and her head got stuck. Both her and I have some bruises from the pulling - but I was so grateful when she was out! Her head was under my ribs so it has a long shape to it.

Congratulations! She is so cute :)
She is beautiful! Congrats! Also, I have to have c-sections as well and get very nervous every time. I hope you have a speedy recovery and enjoy snuggling that sweet baby girl. :)
