All Things Piper

We tried to give cute little Piper the birthday of a lifetime.  We started yesterday afternoon by taking a picnic to the park for dinner.  They have a new baby swing that she loves.  We also let her have an ice cream bar, which she clearly loved....

Haha - not really!  She crawled away after this so I ate it.  On Friday (her actual birthday) she got to have a cupcake and that went a lot better.  Earlier on Friday we went to the Disney store to look around and get out of the 95 degree heat.  A nice girl there gave Piper a birthday crown.  She kept it on longer than she keeps bows on her head, so I'm thinking we should start letting her wear crowns everywhere.  We also took her to another little playground and I let her crawl around and put dirty things from the ground in her mouth.  At home I put off all my chores and the other kids and played with her all afternoon.  I let her crawl up the stairs and would get her and take her to the bottom so she could do it again, which is a game she never tired of!

We gave her three new books, a puzzle, and a teething gummy stick.  She says "daddy" and "hi".  Sometimes I think she says the word "yes" but it might be my imagination!  She knows and uses the signs for bottle, go to sleep, and food.  She loves to read books, play on our big oversized bear, be outside crawling around, taking objects out of containers, and stand backwards in her high chair.  Her eyes are dark brown, which still is amazing to us, and everyone who knows us.  She has eight teeth, and is close to having ten.

Our lives have completely changed in the past year because of this cutie.  She has helped us to be more selfless and kind.  Her sisters have grown into great helpers and have learned to share more willingly and be more patient.  All of us have been able to focus more on the things that matter most, which are each other.  We love Piper Lou, and are so grateful for her!
