As someone wise once told me, what you crave when you're pregnant is what your kid will like when they start eating real people food. With my (limited) trial-and-error one-year-old, this is true. I craved strawberries...any kind of berry....like crazy when I was pregnant with Auburn. Her favorite food? Strawberries. If she sees them in the store it is time to leave. OR just pay outrageous prices for something that is really only in season (and tasty) for a few month's in the summer.
This pregnancy it's apples, cottage cheese, and granola. These are all foods I like. They are also all foods I keep around the house. But....
When you're pregnant you get a certain amount of weight that you get to gain. On my current diet of cottage cheese, granola, and apples, have I gained any weight? NO. What would I LIKE to eat at 9:00 at night? Chocolate. Ice Cream. Cookies. Pie. Whip cream from a can. Not an apple, that's for sure.
On the plus side, my thighs are looking ready for summer.
