Lake Powell
All of us loaded up onto the three flotation devices we had and rowed across the bay to the island on the other side. There was a little hike to an arch and cave about a half mile away. Here we are standing under the arch.
Greg was so nice to stay with Auburn on the boat, who was acting sort of tired. She fell asleep waiting on the boat for us to come back. There were lots of beautiful flower on the hike. The weather was perfect for hiking.
We were surprised at how much Auburn loved the water. The water was cold, even for me, but Auburn is a champ and would just hang out with us in the water. She looks so cute in her swimsuits and hats and glasses, we just loved dressing her up to swim!
This Auburn with her Warner Grandmary. They sure love each other! Grandma Warner was so nice and took care of Auburn often, along with other family members, so that Greg and I could do fun things together. Auburn even got Cheetos's from one of her generous friends. YUM!
I never got to meet Erik, Michelle's husband, but from what I hear he was a stellar billy-bob-er. I was happy to participate in the reincarnation of billy-bob-ing at lake powell. I also love watching the kids baluga - but that didn't happen much this year because of the water temperature.
On our teeth is color changing nail polish. YUM! It took forever to get it off. We also used the nail polish on our nails. :)
One of the best parts of Lake Powell this year was our dance on Friday night. It's a new addition to our Lake Powell party week, and one that Greg and I are motioning to keep. We started out by teaching the kids one of the EFY counselor dances (Ba-ha men 1), and then just danced the night away after that.
