IHOP Rocks

Mostly accurate IHOP Facts (courtesy of wikipedia)
  • As of September 30, 2007, the chain had 1,328 restaurants in 49 states, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Canada and Mexico.
  • founded in 1958 by Jerry Lapin and his brother Al Lapin, Jr.
  • On November 29, 2007 IHOP bought out the Applebee's restaurant chain for $2.04 Billion.
  • Slogan: "Come hungry. Leave happy."

For many years "the IHOP" has been a beacon of hope and understanding for the bewhildered of America. On November 17th, 2007 it became a refuge of hungernessless for Jessica, Jessica's nice friend, and I.

Our adventure started off by being welcomed by a wonderful IHOP host or hostess who's name or gender I do not readily recall. We were then shown a nice cozy booth. In a timely fashion, we were greeted by our waitress (female) named Moni.

About Moni

Moni is one of those people that you could probably write a book about. She was happy and chipper. Worked at IHOP 4 years. She has an excellent track record of serving hypoallergenic foods. When asked if somehone has ever had an allergic reaction at IHOP, she responded, "Not that I know of." Moni also had a fairly good sense of fashion, not because of how she was dressed her self, but because of how she rated me, Greg, on hotness. I got a seven of ten. Had she given me a ten, I would've said that she had an excellent sense of fashion.

Concerning Moni's hairstyle, we noted that it was blonde, in an updo, with the ends tucked under. I gave her a 5 / 10 for her hairstyle.

We also got to meet one of Moni's friends, Melanie. She's been working at IHOP for 2 months. Concerning her previous experiences working at both Denny's and Village Inn, she says that she "likes IHOP a lot better," noting the customers and money as primary reasons.

One thing that perhaps IHOP could improve upon is hiring waitresses, and employees in general for that matter, who like to disco skate. Classic skating is, afterall, only 2.6 miles from the premesis of IHOP. When asked if she would be our Facebook friend, Moni confessed that she didn't know what facebook was.

About the People

Do the cooks wash their hands? Yes. "I see them wash their hands," Moni tells us.

The Decor

Bright yellow walls. Booths and tables. Unproportionate globes. Repatative border. Moderatly ornate light fixtures. About the lighting we recorded: Bright. Inconsistent. Seats soft. No scent (seats). Air vents clean? (think -> global warming) 8 of 10

Syrup selection?
Plush animals for sale along with food?
Quality of waitresses? (If you know what I mean *wink*)
These are also things I would like to know before I give my final decision on whether or not to grace them with my presence and allow them to serve me.
