Born to Run - Book Club Discussion Questions

I couldn't find any book club question helps on the book Born to Run by Christopher McDougall, so I thought I would post the ones I made up to help whoever is in search of some discussion questions.

What do you think of the thesis that humans are literally “born to run”? Did McDougall do a good job in proving this theory in the book?

Do you have a favorite character/person?

What do you think of their diet?

Was this book interesting? Did it hold your attention? Was it easy to follow?

What do you think of McDougall’s claim that “less is more” when it comes to shoes?

Do you think this book will have any negative/positive effects on the Tarahumara? On Ultrarunning? On the individual runner?

Do you think that running becomes more popular during hard economic times because people are literally “running away from their problems” like McDougall says?

The Dress That Fits

Because of Auburn's length, most dresses tend to look.....well lets just say they are unflattering and that is that. This dress, however, is practically perfect in every way!

Swimsuit Season

For spring break the pools opened up and we had a playdate at the Mesquite/Basha highschool pool. They have a splash pad, lazy river, wading pool, toddler pool, and an olympic sized pool. It was a lot of fun in the sun! We saw a ton of friends and enjoyed the water play-gym. The night before, we realized that Auburn needed a new swimsuit, so Daddy was very nice and took Auburn to Target and pick out FOUR different swimsuits. He brought them home and let Mommy pick her favorite to use. If you ever come to Arizona, we will take you to the best pool ever!

Giant Turtles

Auburn and I went with some friends to the Zoo and it was a nice, warm Arizona day. This is the first time we had seen these tortoise's, and we were very impressed by their size and age. They can live up to 80 years! I think it's time we got a desert tortoise.

Matchy-matchy

Two of the cutest girls in the world in their matching dresses. I'm so sad M is in a different ward now. I'm sure Auburn is too. Aloha!
