Dirty dirt....

This is amazing:

THAT is from TWO rooms and ONE hall in our house. YUCK! Because our house was a foreclosure when we bought it, no one cleaned it like it should be cleaned. Greg and I have been working our tails off trying to get all the space livable. This vacuum just proves our hard work. I can't wait to tackle the downstairs with it!

(Lest you believe that we up until this point have been living in filth, I just want to point out that all the carpet had vacuum lines. Very deceiving. But my see-through vacuum tells no lies. Believe what you will.)

Moving Day!

Our move went REALLY well on this past Saturday. We had 17 people show up to help! It was amazing how fast it went, only an hour and 20 minutes! We only took one picture; which is very sad because we love everyone that came and wish to express our thanks to them. Here is the one picture:

(Ryan Lowe, half-faced Matt Sondrup, Kurt Turley, and Eric Ermer)

All these guys were great. They even lifted all of our heavey furniture up our narrow staircase, by lifting it vertical! THAT is something I'm SO sad I didn't get a picture of! You would be simply amazed.

One of my friends watched Auburn while we moved, and then Lauren watched her in the afternoon while we unpacked. Lauren was the best! It was the first time that she has babysat (other than siblings). She even made a "playpen" with toys for Auburn! Look how cute:

Katie, her sister, also helped watch Auburn. Lauren even let me pay her in skittles! That is the perfect babysitter if I do say so myself. Auburn had so much fun that she fell asleep as soon as I put her in the car.

Thank you everyone who helped us on our moving day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

A little late...but exciting none the less! For Valentine's Day I wanted to do something nice for Greg, that we were planning on doing for the house anyways, so I got him a piano! I found one on Craig's list where the guy listed that he would deliver. Score!

It looks so good on our hard wood floor! If anyone knows a good piano tuner in Gilbert let me know! Happy Valentine's Greg! I love you!

Auburn, 6 Month's Old

Auburn has been growing and growing! We just went to our 6 month doctor's appointment. She is "above the 97%" for height, and her weight and head circumference are both in the 70's. She knows how to blow raspberries, wave goodnight, play peek-boo with a blanket, clap, and sit herself up. She can crawl, but mostly chooses not too, favoring scooting around.

I really like that she can clap now. When we're in the car and I want to know if she's awake or not I just say "Auburn, yey!" and she will clap her hands if she's awake. Instant baby-awake signal! She still is a very friendly baby and smiles at everyone. When we go through the grocery story, she sits sideways in the cart and will smile at everyone we pass.

She also loves taking bath's, and knows how to splash. She loves going for walks in her stroller. With all of the work going on over at our new house she has been exposed to lots of things that make interesting noises, her favorite is the paint cans. She will play with a *sealed* paint can for an hour.

We have discovered that Auburn like pea's, squash, apple slices and graham crackers. I thought that when we started feeding her solids she would cut back on her formula intake, but she is just growing to fast for that to happen! This last week she has learned how to hold her own bottle and will feed herself.

We are so PROUD of our little girl! Auburn is the EASIEST baby anyone could hope for and we are SO HAPPY to have her in our little family!

Disneyland!

We went to Disneyland & California Adventure two weeks ago and loved it! (of course!) We met up with Greg's side of the family. Auburn was perfect for the car ride. She slept for half of it and looked around for the other half. Here she is at our pit stop:

C-U-T-E! I love this picture. This is the Arizona to California entrance we went through:

Very rustic. Greg thought we were going to have to give them all our food, but they didn't even search us. Lame.

Here are our favorite rides:

California Adventure:
Scremin': best roller coaster ride by far. Both Greg and I agree that it was good because it didn't jerk you around like some do.

Bug's life movie: It was amazing, seriously. Bugs crawl under your seat, you get stung. I sat by Tyson and it was fun to watch him try and figure out the 3D glasses. At one point in the show he tried to catch the bee that was flying towards him, then he took off his glasses! It was funny.

(new) Toy Story: the talking Mr. Potatohead is also AMAZING. If you stand in front of him long enough he'll call you out by the color of your shirt. NO JOKE! The ride was also really fun. Kind of like a video game on the move. Below are some pictures of us in our polarized glasses:

Look at those crazy girls! (Aunt Michelle, Auburn, Grandma Mary) We loved getting the free tortilla's and the billboards here too. We had to have a chat with Greg about modesty.

Disneyland:
It's a Small World: the line was really long for this one, and there was a serious backlog of boats, but it's a cute ride and Auburn could go on it, so bonus for us!

Haunted Mansion: Greg thinks he figured out how they get the dancing ghost's.

Splash Mountain: We went on this ride three times in a row! We had fun pretending we were asleep for the camera's. Lindsey was hilarious on this ride. She told us a million times she wasn't scared - and she wasn't! She's a tiger.

Indiana Jones: I still am having dreams about this ride. We were able to get fast passes on this ride twice!

This is the crew on our way to our first day at Disneyland:

The excitement is just written all over Kyle's face. We figured we walked at least 5 miles each day, though with taking Auburn back to the hotel for a nap everyday, it probably was a little longer. Here's Auburn:

This was one of the best vacations for us! We love our Warner family. Thanks for the good time!

Painting the Kitchen

I have been promising EVERYONE pictures of our progress on painting our kitchen. I'm pretty sure I'm slower than molasses when it comes to blogging. But molasses taste good. So here's the mini kitchen update:

Step one: We primed all the cabinets and painted the first coat before we went to Disneyland. This is four hours before we're suppose to leave for Disneyland:

Step Two: Paint all of the cabinets:

Step Three: we're not ready for yet....so here's a close up of the color instead.

Yummy! Doesn't that make you want to eat something in my kitchen? Thought so!

My Quilt got DONE

Magically, my quilt got finished before my eyes:

The quilted sewing part:

I am so grateful to my MIL, she sent over some easy to follow binding instructions. They saved my quilt from the fate of never being completed:
