What a Cute Girl!

General Conference Weekend

We wanted this special weekend to be bonding time with our kids.  With it being general conference for our church, as well as Easter, there were plenty of opportunities to talk with our children about our Savior and our love for him.  We also went on a family bike ride on Saturday morning, Auburn had a soccer game we went to, and we decorated eggs before dinner.  The girls and I went to the park while Dad went to the priesthood session.

On Sunday morning the Easter bunny hid baskets for the girls and they did a great job finding them.  In between conference sessions on Sunday we went to our special picnic spot across from the temple.  It was perfect weather.  The girls pretty much ate candy all day so our lunch was not consumed.  Then we took a walk around the temple.  That evening we had some of Brynn's friends over for Easter dinner.

I love conference weekend.  We don't generally get to spend a whole weekend without a lot of chores and work and make-up work for the work we missed during the week, and so it makes the weekend even more special.  I love hearing from our Prophet, Thomas S. Monson, and the apostles that all represent Christ.  Nothing compares to the love I feel from Heavenly Father during this special weekend.

Happy Easter!

Burrito

Piper let Auburn and Ruby make her into a burrito and doctor her.

Grandma and Grandpa Warner's Visit

Grandma and Grandpa Warner came to visit in February.  We went to the zoo, tumbleweed park, met up with Addy and Kari, ate lunch at the park, went to Auburn's first soccer game and took lots of walks and tried to eat healthy!  Grandma Warner instilled a love for dogs into Piper.  They would go for walks to try and find dogs to pet and bark at.  Our days were filled with fun and we slept well every night!  We were so happy to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa Warner.
